Turn your own apples (or pears!) into delicious cider. This hands-on, one-day workshop is perfect for beginners wanting to make their first batch as well as those looking to refine their process. You’ll learn everything from fruit preparation through to bottling, with demonstrations of both low-cost and entry-level commercial equipment. Take home the knowledge and confidence to craft your own cider at home.

- The basic theory behind making cider
- Fruit preparation, juice extraction, fermentation and bottling
- Demonstration of simple, budget-friendly equipment
- Introduction to entry-level commercial gear
- How to choose suitable cider apple varieties

- Time: Arrive from 9:10 am for morning tea, workshop runs 9:30 am – 3:30 pm.

- Morning and afternoon tea are provided. Please note that vegan choices are not available and food may contain traces of nuts.
- Lunch is bring your own.
- If you have specific dietary needs, you’re very welcome to bring something that suits you.
- To protect our orchard from pests and diseases, please don’t bring fresh fruit.
