We have decided for the time being to stop selling persimmon trees as they often fail to grow away in spring after planting. They usually remain alive as evidenced by green tissue below the bark, but seem to remain in suspended animation. Sometimes they will start growing after several months, other times they will eventually die.
As we cannot guarantee a high probability of success for our customers, until we find a better method we have stopped selling them.
We recommend purchasing persimmons in pots and planting them, carefully, during the growing season in mild weather.
