STAYING OVER

Beaufort has a range of accommodation options from budget to quite luxurious. A number can be found on airbnb.

Here are some options we can recommend:

  • The Beaufort Motel is well priced, clean, well run and good value.
  • Eurambeen is totally upmarket.
  • Ballarat is a large regional city of over 100,000 people located around 35 minutes east of Beaufort on the Western Highway.

Plus a great selection throughout the wonderful Pyrenees Shire. More ....

EATING OUT

Night times are pretty quiet around here although the Golden Age Hotel has well-priced, quality meals 7 days a week. It also offers clean, pub-style accommodation.

Being a highway town there are several good cafes in town offering breakfast and lunch, most with good coffee.

Our lunches are catered by local cafes and catering services and they always score highly among our patrons.

STUFF TO DO

If you are around during the first weekend in either May or November check out the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally - everyone should see this before they die!

While the Grampians are less than an hour away, much closer is Mt Buangor State Park which offers great outdoors experiences.

Don't forget our local wineries - the Pyrenees wine region is world class and renowned for its dry climate vintages.
