Pyrus calleryana 'Burgundy Snow' has abundant, clear white flowers with burgundy centres and is among the most floriferous of the ornamental pears. Grows to 10m tall x 6m wide. Rich, mid- to dark green leaves becoming yellow through to red in autumn.
Useful in smaller gardens as feature and shade trees. Street trees, avenue plantings, large parks and gardens. Adaptable to a wide range of environments including quite dry conditions, slightly alkaline soils, able to handle intermittently wet, heavy soils.
