MM.102 is a cross between Northern Spy x M.1, produced by the East Malling Research Station, which produces a tree between M.26 and M.7 depending on the soil types. Early trials found that MM.102 produced average crop of good sized fruit. Renewed interest has been generated in this stock due to its M.26 size response and resistance to Wooly Aphids passed on by its Northern Spy parentage.
Our retail range of rootstocks have been grown for an extra year inground to produce a large plant suitable for a variety of grafting techniques.
*Plant growth is always influenced by climate, nutrition, water availability, etc, so height figures are always only a guide.
