Grape 'Gordo Blanco' (Vitis vinifera 'Gordo Blanco') is also known as 'White Muscat', 'Muscat of Alexandria', 'Moscatel', 'Moscatel Romano', 'Moscatel de Málaga', 'Muscat Gordo Blanco', 'Hanepoot', 'Lexia', 'Moscatel', 'Gordo', and 'Zibibbo'. It is considered an "ancient vine", and wine experts believe it is one of the oldest genetically unmodified vines still in existence. Yellow-green, medium sized fruit, strong muscat flavour. When dried produces the famous Lexia raisin. Used for sherry, moscatel or muscatel wines, Moscatel de Valencia, Muscatel Passito and other Muscatel liqueurs and also as a raisin and table (eating) grape. Great eating, seeded fruit in open bunches, heavy bearer.
