Golden Eye Modern Shrub Rose (Rosa 'Golden Eye') is one of the Persica Roses developed by highly regarded English rose breeder Chris Warner. Over centuries a number of breeders have worked to capture the distinctive red blotch at the base of the petals of the otherwise unremarkable Rosa persica native to the region of ancient Persia, today Iran and Afghanistan, first "discovered" in 1784.
It is a repeat flowering bush rose with double golden yellow blooms with a bright red eye growing to about 1.2 m tall.
