Extra-dwarf apples are grafted onto M9 or B9 (Budagovsky 9) rootstocks, producing compact trees approx. 1.5–2.4 m tall depending on soil fertility, climate, etc. Ideal for pots, small gardens, or tight rows. These rootstocks promote early fruiting, high productivity, and excellent fruit quality. However, both have shallow roots and require staking or trellising for life.
