Nottingham Medlar (Mespilus germanicus 'Nottingham'), a very old cultivar, has small fruit but in abundance and is regarded as delicious eaten fresh. It can also be used for cooking. It has a spreading habit growing to 2.5-3 m tall x 1.5 m wide. Attractive autumn foliage.
