Grace Smoke Bush (Cotinus coggygria x dummeri 'Grace') is a vigorous deciduous shrub with attractive rounded leaves emerging bright wine red in spring, maturing to deep chocolate purple in summer, before turning glowing shades of red, orange, and gold in autumn. Large, wispy, purplish-pink flower plumes cover the plant in summer.
This is a stunning addition to any garden providing interest throughout the growing season. Grows with an upright and open, multiple-branching habit, up to 3.5 m - 5 m tall and wide.
Cotinus 'Grace' tolerates part shade and performs best in full sun. Drought tolerant once established growing on a wide variety of soils as long as drainage is good. Prune hard to encourage masses of foliage, use a lighter hand to encourage flowering.
