Vaccinium darrowii x vaccinium corymbosum 'Darrow' is a low chill Southern Highbush variety producing large, firm fruit with a balance between sweet and tart. Great eaten fresh and ideal for pies, desserts, jams and preserves. New spring foliage is tinged bronze, turning deep-green on maturity then vibrant scarlet autumn colours.
- Pollination: self-fertile but cross-pollination with a variety with the same bloom time produces larger berries and larger yields
- Position: acidic soil, excellent drainage, full sun to part shade
- Type: Southern highbush deciduous, low chill, suitable cool temperate to sub-tropical
