Winter isn’t the only time to prune fruit trees – and in many cases, it’s not even the best time. Summer pruning is a practical way to keep your fruit trees compact, productive, and easy to manage.

Join horticulturist Rob Pelletier at Heritage Fruit Trees for a hands-on session covering summer pruning and training techniques for apples, pears, and stone fruit. Learn how to shape espalier, trellised, and free-standing trees, and gain confidence in keeping your orchard healthy and fruitful.

  • Summer pruning of apples, pears, and stone fruit
  • Tying and training methods for espalier, trellised, and free-standing trees

  • Time: Arrive from 9:10 am for morning tea, workshop runs 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
  • Location: Heritage Fruit Trees, Beaufort VIC.

  • Morning tea provided on arrival. Please note that vegan choices are not available and food may contain traces of nuts. 
  • If you have specific dietary needs, you’re very welcome to bring something that suits you. 
  • To protect our orchard from pests and diseases, please don’t bring fresh fruit.
