Farm update 27 May 2026
Posted by Kate Blood on 9th Jul 2026

As autumn draws to a close, activity on the farm is really ramping up. We continue lifting fruit trees ready to commence shipping from mid June, and this week our focus has been on the apples — they are looking terrific this season. Every labelled tree is carefully washed free of soil before being graded and stored, ready for order picking over the coming weeks. We are genuinely excited by the quality of the trees this year.
Recovery from the February 2024 bushfire also continues. A large section of our pear garden near the house was burnt and impacted by radiant heat during the fire, and this week Rob has been preparing the area for resowing grass and replanting. We are hoping to establish new fruit trees there this winter to replace some of those damaged in the fire.
Speaking of bushfires, we are hosting a garden tour this Saturday focusing on firewise gardening and landscape design. The back garden is looking particularly beautiful at the moment, with rich late autumn colour throughout the property. Bookings essential.
