Farm update 22 August 2026

Spring is beginning to make itself known around Glenview Park. In the orchard, the almonds are in blossom, along with some of the early peaches and plums — always a lovely sign that the seasons are turning.
The nursery team has been working hard getting your End-of-Season Online Sale orders on their way. Tesh and Rosemary have been picking orders, Chad bagging and Michael wrapping, before Rune takes them into the Beaufort Post Office, where the friendly team processes them for their journey to gardens around the country.
Kate and Rob have been flat chat managing the EOS Sale and working behind the scenes on upgrades to the website. With the packing season drawing to a close, we also gathered everyone together for our annual team photo — a nice marker of another busy bareroot season almost completed.
Away from the nursery, Kate managed a trip to Melbourne to see Ngarn Wa’ngal: Art of the Gum Tree at the Potter Museum of Art. It was an exhibition particularly close to her heart, combining a love of eucalypts — the trees we live amongst at Glenview Park — with their place in art. There was also time for a walk through the University of Melbourne grounds, enjoying the mature trees, plantings and the wonderful System Garden.

Back at Glenview Park, wildflowers continue to emerge in the bushland, including Hardenbergia and Nodding Greenhood orchids. Our family of choughs and the swamphens are also regular visitors around the property.
And in the garden, the little early daffodils are up, the camellias are flowering, and many of the shrubs and perennials are getting their annual haircut before the big spring bounce.
There are signs of the changing season everywhere now — just as another busy nursery season begins to wind down.
