Farm update 20 May 2026

As we harvest the last of the pears and late-season apples, we’re putting the bird netting away out of the UV ready for next season. Our fencer has also been hard at work in recent weeks repairing and tidying more fencing and gates damaged in the 2024 bushfire — another reminder that recovery is a gradual, ongoing process.
We’ve now started lifting trees and expect winter shipping to commence from around mid June, so it’s a great time to start preparing your planting sites.
Following on from our bushfire preparation and recovery work to date, we’re also looking forward to hosting a local Shire bus tour here in a week and a half focused on firewise planting and garden design. The event coincides with the release of the new Pyrenees firewise garden guide, which we were pleased to contribute to.
There will be more firewise events and activities in the coming months. If you’re local to the Pyrenees Shire in Victoria, check out this link.
