Farm update 13 August 2026

Posted by Kate Blood on 13th Aug 2026

It’s been very wet at Glenview Park, with plenty of rain leaving the ground saturated. Sadly, one of our favourite big old gum trees that survived the 2024 bushfire has now fallen over.

The nursery has been busy preparing for our End-of-Season Online Sale. We turned the website off on Tuesday night, and Rune, Rob and Kate have now completed the all-important stocktake and update.

Tesh and Rune have picked out the last of our existing orders, with Chad and Michael bagging and wrapping them ready for delivery to the Beaufort Post Office. Once the grapes arrive, we’ll complete those orders and get them on their way too. Lots of orders are also ready for collection this Friday and Saturday. A reminder that final order collections are Saturday 29 August.

Around the farm, we’ve been enjoying and recording the wonderful diversity of bird calls. We’re particularly conscious of this at the moment, knowing that bird flu may change our local bird populations when it arrives.

Some of the team have also been cleaning the gutters on all our buildings and pollarding the Manchurian Pears in the back garden to keep their height manageable — all part of our year-round bushfire preparation.

There’s always plenty happening at Glenview Park, even when the website is temporarily quiet!
