Shopping at Heritage Fruit Trees

DIRECT SALES ONLY FOR SUMMER
We do not offer mail order during the hotter months as trees can quickly dry out in transit, especially if delayed even for a day. Customers are welcome to visit our nursery, just email to make a time. We also sell at farmers markets and these will be publicised on our website home page.

Mail order will resume in Autumn 2010.
ADVANCE ORDERS
Please email your requirments, no deposit is required. We will contact you when plants are ready to dispatch.
CHOOSING TREES
Please choose trees from our catalogue before you visit and email your selections to sales@heritagefruittrees.com.au as there can be quite a few decisions to make. We can quickly answer queries, confirm availability and have trees ready for pick-up at the nursery or one of the markets we visit. You can always change or add to your order when picking up trees.

Nearly all apple varieties require a pollinator, that is another apple variety nearby to donate pollen. It is possible to get by without a pollinator in suburban areas if there are other apples planted close by, but by planting a suitable pollinator a more certain and heavier fruit set is likely.

Choose trees with the same pollination group number for satisfactory cross pollination. Those with adjacent numbers will usually pollinate each other.

Triploid varieties, marked *, are an exception - they need a pollinator, but will not provide viable pollen for another variety.

Some varieties self-pollinate, marked † , but perform better with a pollination partner.

A number of varieties have multiple uses and appear in more than one of the category lists.
